Crozet is just 15 min. away with the Famous Crozet Pizza (noted in the National Geographic Guide Book, make reservations), 2 pick your own Orchards, public pool, and natural food store. White Hall Vineyard is just a half a mile up the road from us and there are many closeby Vineyards to visit. The best Organic eggs from Mount Air Organic Beef Farm are available in Crozet at Fabulous Foods natural Food Store. Ruby offers fresh range eggs from the Steppe Family Farm. Visit Innisfree Village Farm to experience beautiful local organic vegetable, herb and flower gardens just a mile up the road on Walnut Level Rd (call Innisfree to arrange a tour). The Shenandoah National Park Entrance is only minutes away on Sugar Hollow Rd. and offers great hikes, swimming holes and fun rocks to play on for the whole family. Mint Spring Park offers lake swimming with white sandy beach and lifeguards on duty.We have a 6-acre lake to swim ( this is rustic country pond swimming, no fancy white beach swim! Bring water shoes to avoid the fresh water clam shells) and canoe in and 2 other fishing ponds and hiking trails and lots of wildlife! Keep an eye open for Blue heron, black bear, and deer. The beaver often swim just across the bank at the lakes' over flow and will some times swim up to the canoe.Organic Shade Grown Coffee is in the freezer.
