Lake Superior Sea Kayak Adventures

Sea Kayaking for all skill levels - beginner, intermediate and advanced. Day tours and Multi-Day tours. Sea Kayaking happens on Lake Superior along the Keweenaw's shoreline and on Isle Royale National Park. The lake shore varies with both rocky and sandy. There are sea arches, sea stacks, unique conglomerate rock formations, islands, and ancient basalt. The Keweenaw and Isle Royale have a very unique geological history.
We provide wetsuits for all participants and require that they wear them as Lake Superior is very cold year round.

Watercraft rentals including Canoe Rentals and Shuttling service to get to nearby inland lakes only, and never on Lake Superior.

Participants meet at the Keweenaw Adventure Company shop for all activities.

Canoes can be loaded right from the shop and participants can shuttle it themselves or choose to book KAC to shuttle canoe and persons if they prefer.

For Kayak Tours participants meet at the shop to debrief and get directions to livery. Participants then meet with the guides, get geared up, go through instructional and then either leave from the livery or shuttle to the kayak drop in point to embark on their sea kayak tour.

All ages encouraged as long as individuals can confidently sign a Declaration of Fitness! Children must meet the weight requirement of 80lbs to Sea Kayak. Both of these guidelines are to ensure safety of kayakers. Lake Superior is beautiful but is to be respected with cold temperatures and variable weather.
