Day1. Drive to Kharkhorin
We will drive to Kharkhorin where the oldest and one of the most attractive monasteries Erdene Zuu locates. On the way to Kharkhorin we will have lunch in the local restaurant. The Erdenezuu monastery was established in 1585 by Abtai Sain King and built by Mongolian, Tibetan, and Chinese architects.
Day2. Drive to Horse riding destination - Naiman Nuur (8lakes)
We will start driving to Shuranga for preparing our horse trip with Mongolian family where we will get our horses, packing yaks and local horse guides for our horseback riding trip for next riding days.
Day3. We are starting our horseback riding trip
This morning we will start our horseback riding tour. After having breakfast, we will pack our staff on some packing yaks and ride to Shireet Lake, which is the biggest one in other 7 lakes. During the day we will see great landscapes, a beautiful lake and one of the wildest and unspoiled travel destinations of Mongolia. The Shireet Lake is perfect for photo-shooting and camping overnight. We highly recommend this area for our customers who want to experience adventurous horseback riding.
Day4. Riding around the other lakes
After having breakfast at the lake we will ride to another Mongolian nomadic family and will ride to other lakes there. While we riding today, we will cross some little rivers and mountains on the horseback. This is very attractive and much fun to explore the nature beauty and wildlife of 8 lakes in the vast valley and mountainous area.
Day5. Ride to Shavart Mountain
After having breakfast at the Mongolian family, we will have another riding day to Shavart Mountain. On the way we get there we will cross some rivers on the horseback as well.
Day6. Ride to Orkhon waterfall
This morning after breakfast, we will ride along the Orkhon River in the valley and cross the river for a couple of times on our horseback. In the afternoon, we will arrive to the waterfall called Ulaan Tsutgalan /Orkhon Waterfall/, enjoy spectacular view of the waterfall and surrounding area, where we will have chance to take some beautiful photo shots of Orkhon Waterfall. The Orkhon river drops into 20 kms volcanic crack thus forming the 24 meter high waterfall of Ulaan Tsutgalan, highlight of the area.
Day7. Ride to Mogoit hot spring
After having breakfast we will say goodbye to our packing yaks and some of our local guides who will get back to Shuranga. After saying goodbyes we will start riding to Mogoit hot spring. The hot spring contains sodium hydro-carbonate and sulphate and hydrogen sulphide, treatment of joint and nervous disorders and gynaecological conditions. We are going to have a picnic lunch on the way and ride again until we get to the Hot Spring.
Day8. Ride to Tuvkhun monastery - Last day of horse riding
This would be the last horseback riding day of our trip. After we pack our stuff, we will start riding to Tuvkhun monastery. The creation work temple established by Undur Gegeen Zanabazar in 1654 dedicated to religious studies and art works became the foundation of today's Tuvkhun monastery. It is located on top of a rocky mountain hill surrounded by forests elevated in 2300 meters above sea level in the territory of Bat-Ulzii soum of Uvurkhangai province. We will have our lunch in the open space and will have dinner with all our local staff.
Day9. Drive to Mongol Sand dunes
This morning after having breakfast we will drive to Mongol sand dunes which is a semi desert typed beautiful landscape with sand dunes. We will have our lunch on the way and will be transferred to a next family ger. We are going to have an optional camel riding before dinner. After having dinner we can hike around the sand dunes. We can possibly see the sunset brilliantly in the area.
Day10. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar
