Michamvi village is situated at the endpoint of the Michamvi Peninsula on the south-eastern coast of Zanzibar. Michamvi is the only place on the Zanzibari East Coast where you can enjoy the sunset, as its beach lies just around the tip of the peninsula. Our bungalow lies about half a kilometer from Michamvi Kae village and a few steps walk from the beach. The best of diving and snorkelling can be found in the area. Excursions are easily arranged to various places, such as the mangroves and Zanzibar's only remaining tropical forest, with a sprawling bird and animal life.

The bungalow is built using traditional techniques and materials, such as local coral stone, wood and palm leaves. The design is also inspired by the local way of building with an open and welcoming interior structure. It has four rooms out of which one is self contained and the other three share toilet and shower facilities.

The bedrooms are all equipped with double beds, bed linen and mosquito nets. The bungalow is supplied with electricity and running water from our own well.
