Balsa Ecuatoriana-JP Foundation was created to help Ecuadorian society in order to improve quality of life and environment. We are a local organization, conservation leader who works with the Ministry of Environment program to protect the wildlife heritage and nature reserve. We promote environmental education and defend the rights of local communities. We support sustainable tourism as a tool to protect the incredible treasure that has been given, in the Gulf of Guayaquil
The work done in the conservation project is not available to anyone. The weather conditions are harsh with high rainfall and humidity, often with high temperatures. The way of life is rustic. We occupy a unique setting with high biodiversity. However, since it is a fairly remote place, we adapt the local way of life.
The volunteer will have one day off a week. That day you can use it to do some private tour guided by community members (paid for by the volunteer) or just relax. During the other six days are looking for a level of commitment to the project objectives. It is important to understand that there is no default work schedule but this will depend on the needs of the project at all times.
