The hotel Ateneo is situated in the historic centre of Madrid, 20 meters away from the Puerta del Sol, on a historic building constructed before 1774, and after reformed by the great architect Ventura Rodriguez.

Its location makes it an ideal starting point for short walks to many of Madrid's most interesting sites: Triangle of Art (Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen Museum) The Royal Palace, The Plaza Mayor, churches, monuments, shopping, restaurants, theatres, and many different club and discos.

Each 38 rooms have bathroom with telephone and hair-drier, telephone with ADSL line mini bar security box air conditioning.

We also have a fax service and can arrange for excursions to other cities around Madrid.

Directions

From Atocha train station take line 1 to Sol station exit Carmen Street and we are in 22, Montera Street

From Chamartin train station take line 10 to Tribunal here change to line 1 to Sol station exit Carmen street and we are in 22, Montera street.

From Airport you can take the bus shuttle the cost is 17€ (one, two or three people)

Also you can take the metro line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios station here change to line 10 to Tribunal Station change again and take line 1 to Sol Station - exit Carmen street and we are in 22, Montera street.
