The McBee Motel Cottages is one of the few old-style motor courts left on the north Oregon coast, and the only old-fashioned lodging less than a block from the beach in mid-town Cannon Beach.
Cannon Beach is a charming, artists community located on the scenic north Oregon coast. Visit Ecola State Park and enjoy the majestic vistas; fly kites, ride cycles, or just relax on the beach. Several hiking trails, ranging from easy to moderate, are nearby. Experience fine dining in one of our local restaurants, shop for local art in one of the galleries.
The original structures, built around 1941, have operated as a getaway for coastal travelers since that time. In l995, the motel and the two private cottages across the street, were purchased by local residents, renovated, and reopened as a non-smoking establishment. Today, it is charming , relaxed and decorated in a simple English country-style throughout.
All of the rooms in the motel are tastefully decorated with hand-made curly willow furniture, director chairs, cozy comforters, and area rugs. There are phones, TVs, and a various other little touches to make your stay special. There are a variety of rooms from simple sleeping rooms, to rooms that include gas and/or wood burning fireplaces, separate bed rooms, and living areas and kitchens. The two non-pet cottages are across the street from the motel. Both sleep up to six and include fireplaces and kitchens.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds (subject to a $10 service fee) are possible for cancellations made more than 7 days in advance of arrival. Cancellations made within the 7 days prior to arrival are not eligible for refund.
From Portland: Drive west on Hwy 26 until it intersects Hwy 101 and proceed south 4 miles to Cannon Beach. From Seattle: Drive south on I-5 to Longview/Kelso, cross Columbia River into Oregon and follow Hwy 30 through Astoria. At Astoria, follow Hwy 101 south through Warrenton, Gearhart & Seaside until it intersects with Hwy 26. Follow Hwy 101, 4 miles, to Cannon Beach.
Follow the signs to Cannon Beach and exit at the second possible exit. Check-in is at Cannon Beach Hotel, located just 3 blocks off Hwy 101, near the mid-town Cannon Beach exit, at 1116 S. Hemlock.
