200 year old farmhouse, tastefully modernised. Variety of home cooked meals. Breathtaking surroundings. The house is on signposted walking and cycle routes.Pottery and painting activities can be combined with interesting scenic tours.
We have a modern well equiped pottery and art studio. Experience the delight of being able to paint a landscape, or use the clay create a bowl or a cup, anything youimagine you can create. Try the wheel! You dont have to bring any materials, everything is provided, just bring your imagination.
Breakfast at eight or nine whatever your pleasure. If you wish to paint then a visit to Lough Derg, breathtaking! Lunch in one of the pubs by the lough side. Ballina/Killaloe is the birth place of Brian Buro. Many places of interest to visit and paint if the weather is fine. If not then you can have tuition in the studio. Evening meal at Mountain Lodge and then if you are up to it a visit to a music pub in the area, or a walk around the area.
We are a registered Guest house All meals are provided, on trips to places of interest meals would be pub lunches. Evening meals in resturants in the area can be arranged if wanted.
As we have our own dogs, horses, goats, hens, geese and rabbits we are quite happy for visitors to bring their pets, (We have had ponies in th past!) This house has exposed beams, and lots of original woodwork so we ask our guest to smoke in the conservatory. There is no restriction on age, gender or anything else.
