Perdiz (Partridge) Hunt (#9/23) The perdiz hunt could be compared to quail hunt in Georgia or Alabama, but these birds are normally in small groups of two. It requires a well trained dog, a professional guide with good skills to run the dog, and two shooters. The spotted Tinamou gets up with an explosive flash and flies in a straight line making it a very challenging shoot. This perdiz hunt is a unique sport shooting program, and no many people have the skills to get averages over 50% accuracy.
El Prado Lodge, Cordoba, Argentina (#10/23) El Prado is a renovated modern house, tucked away in a grove of mature trees, on a 5000 acre working ranch. The house has five twin bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom, arranged around a spacious, sunken dining and sitting area with a huge open fire place. Although further from Cordoba airport, (a two hour drive), the location of Rio Seco makes it all worthwhile.
The thousand acres of corn, sorghum and sunflowers attract millions of doves and pigeon to the area and the vast tracts of grassland produce good bags of perdiz. El Prado occasionally offers perdiz and the season is mid –May to end of August. There is one enormous dove roost within walking distance of the lodge and all the shooting is close by.
It is quite quiet here for non-shooting guests, though the estancia provides excellent riding and there is a swimming pool in the grounds for the warmer months. Please check special non shooting activities at this Lodge on our website.

The Duck Program starts at 6:00 am with a hearty breakfast. Around 6:45 am we take a short boat ride to the shooting field. Schedules vary depending on the time of the year in between 20 to 40 minutes. After the morning shooting, we go back to the lodge for lunch and siesta. In the afternoon, we depart at around 3:30 pm for the evening duck shooting session.
San Luis Lodge, San Luis Argentina (#22/23) Located three-hour southwest of Córdoba city and two-hour northeast of San Luis city, we are a full-service team specializing in dove & pigeon shooting. We also offer optional Big Game & Perdiz Hunts at a nearby location
It is accessible to all international travelers with international flights arriving in Cordoba or Buenos Aires, followed by either a domestic flight or a charter (direct) flight. Please ask for an update on regular commercial flights at the time of booking. Also van or mini-bus transfer is a suitable option for guests arriving in Córdoba (three-hour drive) or San Luis (two-hour drive). There are options for everyone. San Luis Lodge, San Luis, Argentina (#23/23) El Monte was built in 1900 by British railroad engineers as a summer house. Refurbished just a few years ago this house has been a hunting lodge since 2004. Today, it can accommodate up to 12 guests. There are 6 bedrooms with private bathroom and furnished either with 2 twin beds each or a king size bed.
You will enjoy our British style rooms, with lovely wood floor and long curtains, stylish bathroom and historical furniture. All our rooms and beds were designed to be warm and comfortable.
The pigeon Program starts at 7:00 am with a hearty breakfast. Around 7:30 am we take a short drive in our comfortable Mercedes Benz Vans to the shooting field. Schedules vary depending on the time of the year in between 20 to 40 minutes. After the morning shooting, we go back to the lodge for lunch and siesta. In the afternoon, we depart at around 3 pm for the evening shooting session. Schedules may change depending on the time of the year.
In the pigeon field you will be assigned a personal field assistant every 2 hunters, who will provide you with shells, guns and soft drinks in your shooting spot. This field assistant will prepare your blind, count your birds and shells, and carry some stools to the field for you. In the evening, when everybody finishes the shooting day we will return to the Lodge.
