Take the road less traveled on one of our truly "wild walks". We guide only small groups (max 5) on our 1-8 day hiking adventures. From seriously tough treks to easy walks, we provide a true wilderness experience in the Mt Aspiring National Park.

We run remote wilderness trips from 1 to 8 days long. We guide over Rabbit and Gillespie Pass, considered New Zealand's hardest trek, as well as Cascade Saddle, winter snow shoe treks and glacier trekking on New Zealand's spectacular glaciers We also offer equally stunning (and challenging) local day hikes for those short on time.

Our multi-day hikes go through remote locations, with no crowded huts and where we rarely see other parties. We stay at pre-stocked camp sites which means you only carry a light pack. All you need is appropriate clothing, a good pair of walking shoes or hiking boots and a spirit of adventure. You will welcome the comfort of our fantastic home away from home. Our astonishing food is only outdone by the mountain scenery.

What makes Wild Walks different? 1) Quality not quantity. All our trips are small groups of 5 clients max. 2) Professional mountain guides. We are not transport operators who take you on a whirlwind tour of the South Island. We provide discerning clients with an intimate wilderness experience. 3) We have the best guides. Our guides are paid well, are highly qualified, local, and have intimate knowledge of the area. They enjoy what they are doing and strive to share that passion with you. Most importantly, every one of them is a whole lot of fun to be in the hills with. 4) Our 20 years experience. This allows us to take you where others can't. There is no such thing as adventure without risk.
