Two miles off I-275 Cincinnati's beltline, First Farm Inn offers two bed and breakfast rooms in a historic 1870s farm home. Our 21 acres are set in Kentucky's rolling hills above the Ohio River where Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio join.
Designed for comfort, our spacious guest rooms offer all the comforts of a top of the line hotel with the unique amenities of a bed and breakfast. And, as one guest said, you can look out a window and see the horses! Schedule a two-hour riding session and learn how to communicate with the 1,000+ pound four leggeds.
A half-hour away, downtown Cincinnati offers all the variety and excitement of a big city; professional sports, botanical gardens, zoo and more. Indiana's riverboat casinos and Perfect North Ski Resort are 10-20 minutes west.

First Farm Inn's spacious and attractive rooms have queen-sized beds with private baths. Baths are accessible from inside the room. Our "1870s" downstairs room has tall windows overlooking the neighbor's pasture, a matching antique oak bedroom set that has been in Jen's family for four generations and quilts made by our great grandmothers.
Our upstairs "Treetops" room's impressive size comes from its original design to house three of the Stevens brothers who each were responsible for a different species of animals: cattle, sheep and hogs after the family immigrated here from Germany and built the house in 1870.
Previous owners added the cathedral ceiling, wall unit and multiple sets of dimmer switches. The antique oak bed and oak washstand were originally owned by Jen's great grandparents whose photos are on the living room wall. We've been told the oversized bath in this room was the site of the first indoor plumbing in the county.

Riding Lessons Available
Really learn to ride -- or enjoy our horses like you used to play with your own. We start out with grooming and tacking up. After you demonstrate the ability to adapt to your horse kindly and comfortably, we move out of the riding arena. Our horses are not starved, drugged nor do they follow head-to-tail. Riders must have basic balance, posture, common sense and willingness to learn about horses and their habits. One or two-hour sessions are available year-round, call to schedule.
