An upscale B&B in a semi-rural area near Parksville & Nanaimo on central Vancouver Island, close to golf, nature trails & sea kayaking. Nestled beside towering cedars on a hillside overlooking the ocean, this is elegance in a beautiful setting.
Nanoose Bay is a semi-rural area ideally located halfway between Victoria and Tofino (Long Beach) on Vancouver Island. Eight golf courses are within easy driving distance, as are Englishman River Falls Park and Little Qualicum Falls Park, both west coast rain forests with spectacular river rapids and falls. Rathtrevor Provincial Park is a 10 minute drive and is a beautiful oceanside park. Cathedral Grove (old growth forest), Horne Lake Caves and the North Island Wildlife Recovery Center are all fascinating. There are also quaint shops, restaurants, the Craig Heritage Museum and many artisans' studios to visit. Schooner Cove Marina, where fishing and sailing charters as well as sea kayaking are available, is a 5 minute drive. There is much to see and do!
Creekside B&B is a west coast modern spacious home overlooking the ocean. On half an acre, there is a greenbelt adjacent to the property protecting a creek. For many guests this is their first introduction to a west coast rain forest! A garden, with it's own creek and pond, is at the front of the house and is at its peak in the summer months. Hardwood flooring through the main floor imparts a feeling of warmth, while many skylights flood the home with light. Guests are welcome to use the deck, play the piano or guitar, or join their hosts just to chat or watch TV.
There are three charming guest rooms: Garden Room, queen bedroom with private bathroom, with jacuzzi tub & separate shower stall, for CDN$85. Flower Room, queen bedroom with ensuite shower bathroom & TV, for CDN$75. Safari Room, twin bedroom with private tub/shower bathroom for CDN$75. Prices are double occupancy and include taxes and a full breakfast. Single rates 10% less.
As well as a full breakfast, guests are offered a beverage on arrival and each late afternoon/early evening. This may be tea, coffee or wine, depending on the guests' preferences.
The home is non-smoking and as there is a resident dog, we are not able to accommodate pets. Smoking is permitted on the deck. Because the house is not suitable for very young children, please inquire if you have children.
