Kurrawan House is a beautifully restored mountain home, built in 1914, with its pressed metal ceilings and polished timber floor boards throughout. Furnished with antiques and limited edition prints by a local mountain artist, and has views literaly at your front door. This wonderful mountain retreat offers two queen size bedrooms, a large sunroom, library, two bathrooms, large gourmet kitchen, formal dining room, lounge room and a beautiful sun-deck for BBQs. Kurrawan House also has three fire places with fire wood supplied and off-street parking for up to three cars. The house is set in lovely old fashioned gardens, attracting an abundunce of native bird life.
Kurrawan House has two queen size iron Shearers Beds and a very large and comfortable queen size sofa bed in the library, which provides guests with equal privacy. The house accommodates up to six adults and all linen, quilts, towels and electric blankets are provided, all of which are fine quality. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other has a claw-foot bath in the centre of the room which rests on a heated tumbled marble floor - extremly romantic. Additional electric heating is provided for the bedrooms.
Included in the tariff is a self-catering full breakfast basket for your first morning, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen and a gas BBQ for your conveinience.
Kurrawan House is located within 1 1/2hours drive from Sydney CBD. Follow M4 and signs to Katoomba, continue until you reach an intersection with lights at Katoomba Railway Station and turn left over the bridge, left again at the round-about and you are in Main St Katoomba.
