The beach is less than 10 minutes walk away and here can be found some really pretty 'chirunguitos' or beach bars which serve drinks and delicious food including fresh fish from the nearby fising port of Garrucha. There are also a good selection of restuarants and bars along this road but just a couple of kilometres away you can find totally deserted coves and beaches. The pretty moorish style 'sugar cube' village of Mojacar is perched on a hill overlooking the beach road below. With its narrow cobbled streets, cool courtyards and traditional Andalusian architecture this is village has retained its original features, while keeping ahead with progress. There are a wonderful selection of bars and restaurants in the village filled with local colour.
