Remember when you were young, when sleeping out in a treehouse or building a fort with blankets was so cool?

At Base Camp, we capture those moments and share them. We are a camp in the middle of the city. Our rooms are tents and our rooftop is a playground. We have a guitar for a TV and a picnic table indoors.

This is a place for pioneers to find themselves among others who are equally open for something different.

After years of nomadic life, we decided to set up a camp and return the hearty welcome and wisdom the world town has given us.

For location we wanted a place where we would be in walking distance from a major nightlife area. We know we don't like to walk too far to get home at the end of the day.

We found ourselves an old abandoned dancehall in the middle of Seoul at Hongdae area, which is the largest party district in Seoul. We also made sure we were within one minute from the subway exit. Perhaps the best part is that we are a minute away from the Han river, which is like Hudson of New York or Thames of London. Our guests can always rent a bike and ride along the river enjoying the river breeze.

We would rather be in a large space without worrying about our feet hitting the end of the bed so we built our own sleeping capsules with bigger room than usual bunk bed. For bonus we installed power outlet and a light source that you can control in each cell. The room is always air conditioned so it wouldn't get stuffy in the summer.

We especially love to chill out at the end of the day with other travelers and exchange info so we gave plenty of space to do just that. We built a huge sofa out of cargo pallet and At late night it's awesome to have a place where people can still party without waking others so we cleaned up the rooftop and added tables and a hot tub.

However, what we love the most above all that, above creating a great space, is to share something great. Come and stay with us!
