Set in over 50 acres of cedar, oak and rhododendron in the splendid Himalayan foothills (6,808ft/2,042m), overlooking the Kangra and Kullu Valleys and the temple and residence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, amidst his community in exile from Tibet. This unusual and beautiful corner of India has the snowcapped Dhauladhar mountain range as its spectacular backdrop - providing stunning views from our garden.
Eagle's Nest is an ideal spot for centre-based trekking, wildlife and bird-watching, walking and visitig local sights, or as a base from which to attend yoga/meditation classes, or as a retreat.

THE HOUSE is an accumulation of the surrounding influences; each en-suite apartment is decorated in a style: Moghal, Tibetan, Modern and Himachali

Dining takes place in the Hall, with carved wood gallery, library and artworks, or out doors, on the terrace or in the gardens.
A Den /lounge room is for guests to relax in, watch TV, DVDs or play games.

Our extensive gardens and surrounding land means guests can enjoy playing badminton, croquet, table tennis, or horse-riding - and of course walking. There is a splash pool too.
Our staff are local and are Guides for treks up into the mountains. One-day or a variety of 2 to 10 day treks can be arranged.
Mountaineering, wildlife and birdwatching is all on site - and trips are available with our expert guides. Wildlife is always present here, including leopards (we are very fortunate to still be able to share this natural landscape), bears, wildcats, pine martins, deer, langur monkeys, foxes, flying squirrels, porcupines, amongst others. And hundreds of bird species including daily views of the Lammergeier, with a 3 metre wingspan, largest in the world.

Above the town of Dharamsala, near to Kangra airport (I hour). 5 hours from Amritsar International Airport. Also 2 hours from Pathankot railway station.
We always arrange a meet and greet service from Mcleodganj Main Square, as we are located up a jeep track, followed by a 10 minute walk. Porters are always provided, and guests can ride a horse if they like!
