Killarney is famed for the splendor of its scenery and renowned for its beauty and is one of the world's best-loved tourist's spots. Situated in the south-western corner of Ireland, with its three famous lakes reflecting the ever changing skies above the great mountain range. Rising to the west of Killarney valley are the peaks ofMacGillycuddy's Reeks. These mountains beloved of the climber, including Carrauntuohill 3414 feet, the highest peak in Ireland. Visit Torc Waterfall 60ft high and surrounded by trees, this is one of the finest waterfalls in Ireland. A footpath winds its way up beside the fall and affords magnificent views of the Lake area.
For history and archaeology lovers there are many items of interest including Ross Castle, Muckross House, Ogham Stones at Dunloe.

Gap of Dunloe Tour From Ross Castle you travel by boat through the Lakes of Killarney to Lord Brandon Cottage then travel on horseback or pony and trap or walk to Kate Kearney's Cottage.

Ring of Kerry To obtain a really panoramic view of Kerry's most outstanding scenery, this tour is a must. Extending for 112 miles and usually done in an anti-clockwise direction, it follows the coastline of the Iveragh Peninsula, along the banks of the River Laune to Killorglin, via Glenbeigh and the southern shores of Dingle Bay to Kells and Caherciveen The tour continues to Waterville and along the coast via Coomakista Pass and Derrynane and on to Sneem. From Sneem. From Seen to Kenmare and up the mountain road to Moll's Gap, then via Ladies' View and back to Killarney.

The Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head which stretches out into the Atlantic Ocean. Leaving Redwood take a left to Farranfore (N22) From Farranfore take a left for Dingle via Castlemaine, Inch, Annascaul and into Dingle. From Dingle continue to Slea Head one can see the Blasket Islands, which are the last outposts of Europe and are known as the “next parish to America”. Continue to Dunquin, Ballyferriter and back into Dingle. Take the road for Conor Pass, Stradbally, Camp, Tralee and back to Redwood.

The Beara Peninsula: From Killarney take Kenmare Road via Molls Gap, to Kenmare, continue on to Tuosist, Lauragh, Ardgroom, Eyeries, Allihies and return along the southern shore of the Peninsula via Castletownbere, Adrigole, Glengarriff and back to Killarney via Kenmare. This fine coast line has some of the most outstanding beauty spots of the south-west.

From Shannon, Galway or Dublin, Redwood is about 10 minutes drive from Farranfore (N22) and will be on the right. From Cork stay on N22 Redwood is 2 miles from Cleeny Roundabout.
