Blanca Casa Bed & Breakfast - Costa Blanca

Our villa is located 20 minutes drive from the town of Benissa along a winding mountain road. Benissa is the nearest town for shops, bars and restaurants. There are also the towns of Javea (30 mns drive), Calpe (25 mns drive), and Moraira (25 mns drive), a pretty traditional fishing village. We must not forget Benidorm (35 mns drive), with all its attractions and night life. The Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia and Mundomar are all to be found around Benidorm.

As well as these coastal towns and the many mountain paths and drives there are to explore, it is also well worthwhile taking a drive around the small villages in the immediate area, each with its own particular charm.

Benissa - The focal point of this town has to be the white church similar to the churches painted by Constable, built in the 1920's by pious masons from Benissa. The town has not yet been re-developped on a large scale, and it's 4 km coastline still offers small quiet beaches. Marine activities and water sports can be enjoyed here.

Alcalali - It is located in the Pop valley half way between Jalon and Parcent. Originally a Moorish farmstead, it was depopulated when the Moors were expelled in 1609. It's 842 inhabitants are mainly involved in agriculture, especially grapes and oranges.

Jalon - The capital of the Pop valley, this is a lively town with craft shops, restaurants and wine cellars. In 1472, the Moors living there sent a collection of wines to the Valencian court and negotiated with traders in Javea the sale of a product which in time would become the base of Marina Alta's economy - raisins produced in the traditional 'rui-raus'. Raisins are still produced here in small quantities.

Lliber - The smallest village in the Vall de Pop region, next to the Jalon river, with 498 inhabitants. There is a cooperative in the village with their muscatel wines being a speciality.

Teulada - This village was inhabited by 52 old Christian families who grew muscatel grapes. There is a beautiful late-Gothic church built in honour of the patron saint St. Catalina.

Gata Gorgos - With it's white houses and ivory lintels, the village takes its name from the Gorgos river, also know as the Jalon river. The inhabitants make objects out of esparto and palm, and this is the main source of income, together with agriculture. The church was built in 1535, in the same year that the village became independent from Denia.

All rooms have an en-suite windowed bathroom with bath and shower facilities. The rooms are sizeable - all include a luxurious double bed and hand made walk-in wardrobes. All en-suite rooms are south-facing and have great views of the Sierra Bernia mountain range.

We have a beautiful fresh water swimming pool complete with sun loungers situated in our picturesque walled garden and grounds. The nearby villages and towns provide much of the nightlife including restaurants and nightclubs etc. The nearby Jalon Valley is well known for its cuisine and restaurants and well worth a visit.

We offer a rental-car hire service to patrons that can be booked before your holiday for peace of mind. We also arrange transport to the villa if you are arriving at Alicante airport and need to be picked up.
