Accommodationskeyboard_double_arrow_up
The Naeset-Roe Bed and Breakfast was built in 1878 by Jens Naeset, a local archetect and Norwegian immigrant. It is a cream-city brick Italianate with 2nd Empire influences. It looms majestically over area homes at the top of the hill just one block from the city's Main Street. The screened front porch with its lounging chairs offers guests a quiet place to relax and unwind while sipping cold lemonade or taking tea. The back patio and Victorian gardens offer peace and solitude. Guests often enjoy wine and cheese while sitting around the garden fireplace on chilly evenings. The entire house was renovated in 1996 to its original Victorian splendor. The twin parlors, library, and dinning room are beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished.

Rooms/Suiteskeyboard_double_arrow_up
There are four guest rooms. Lovingly restored quarter-sawn oak floors give the rooms a warm, inviting flavor. Each room is equipped with its own private, attached bathroom. Each room has a queen bed and a lovely antique airmoire. A hair dryer and complimentary soaps, shampoos and conditioners are placed in each room. LAVINA'S ROOM is done in florals with sage green trim. A soft sage green scarf lies gracefully over the head board of the bed where the wrought iron head and foot board are incrusted with dancing cherubs. Etched cherub faces also adorn the outside of the wonderful restored claw-fott bathtub which sits in the bedroom (what a romantic way to bathe!). GAEA'S ROOM is just across the hall and is done in restful shades of french country blues and yellows. Gaea was the granddaughter of the home's builder. The beautiful netting whihch decorates the headboard of the queen bed can be pulled around the entire bed, enclosing the guests inside. Guests enjoy the relaxing European shower head and the deeper-than-normal soaking tub in the bathroom. ROSE'S ROOM is done in shades of rose. A beautiful half-canopy, draped in yards and yards of silk material covers the antique walnut queen bed. In the corner, sits a relaxing whirlpool bath. The glow of the newly added fireplace makes the room feel soft and cozy. The shower in the attached bathroom is equipped with a "tall" shower head, accommodating extra tall guests. There is an unused sleeping porch attached to this room and future plans are to incorporate it, making Rose's Room a two room suite. THE CLOCK TOWER ROOM is decorated in shades of blue. The wall treatments gives the illusion of being in the clouds. Beautiful flowers adorn the area just above the huge windows and over the in-room sink. The queen canopy bed is all dressed in romantic sheers. The fireplace gives the room a warm, welcome feel and the huge whirlpool nestled in the alcove completes the most romantic setting one could imagine. The table in the central hallway holds baskets of bath and personal items which guests may purchase. In the same hallway, the refrigerator holds bottled water, soda, and juice for guests, also.
