The Washington House Inn is a Cream City brick building originally built in 1886 as an inn. It was renovated in 1984, taking great care to preserve the historic flavor of the building while providing today's luxuries. The Schroeder Guest House, a few doors up the street was added in 1994 as a unique compliment to the Washington House Inn.
The Washington House Inn has 34 guest rooms. Each room features antique furniture, down comforters and private baths, and many have wirlpools and fireplaces. The rooms are decorated in either the Country or Victorian style. Three loft suites feature two-story rooms with oversized whirlpools and two fireplaces.
Included in the stay is a continental breakfast of home made muffins, breads, and cereals, fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, and coffee and tea. Also included is an evening wine and cheese social hour featuring local wines and cheeses. The Settler's Trail Conference room is the perfect place for a meeting of up to 35 people. The Inn is also equipped with a sauna for use by guests.

From Chicago: take I-94 north to Milwaukee. In Milwaukee, take I-43 north to exit 89, HWY C. Take Highway C 3 miles west to Washington Avenue. Take Washington Avenue north 1 1/2 miles to the Center Street.
