La Ceiba is located on the Caribbean coast of Honduras. It is the third largest city in the country and is serviced by an international airport. A ferry boat or a 20 minute flight from here takes you to the turquoise waters of the Bay Islands, Utila, Roatan and Guanaja. La Ceiba is a vibrant, lively town which beats to the rhythm of its Latin, Caribbean and AfroAntillian culture. It is home to the Dole Fruit Company, producers of bananas, pineapples and grapefruits.

The "Zona Viva" is an area along the beach where most of the restaurants and night clubs are located. Central Park is a pleasant shaded area in the centre of town and the beautiful Standard Park just minutes away. There are many hotels, restaurants, and a modern cinema. It is easy to find your way around the city and you can walk cycle or take a taxi for a minimum of cost.

In the outskirts of La Ceiba you can discover, the "Cuero Y Salado" Wildlife Refuge which has monkeys, parrots and manatees among their 35 protected. White water rafting and kayaking are a thrilling attraction and the beaches surrounding La Ceiba are safe and clean. You can ascend into the majestic cloud forest of the "Pico Bonito" Natural Reserve, and hike from near sealevel up to 8,000 feet. You will discover the Fauna the Flora, several exotic waterfalls and incredible views of the Caribbean Coast and the Bay Islands. The Picturesque mountain peak, "Pico Bonito" is a landmark on the north coast of Honduras and without a doubt makes La Ceiba an important EcoTourism destination. EcoTourism internships are available upon request.

General Description
Every year, students of all ages (1675 years), and from many countries and professions, attend Eurolingua's numerous language, cultural, special interest and summer programmes worldwide. Students include private individuals, mature teenagers, university and MBA students, teachers, doctors, professional and business people, corporate executives, diplomats and embassy staff, government employees, military personnel and retired people.

OnetoOne Homestays (1675 years)
Live and study abroad for 1 to 4 weeks, on a fullboard basis, in the private family residence of a Eurolingua tutor. You benefit from intensive onetoone, professional language tuition, enjoy local excursions and share usual family social, cultural and leisure activities. Total immersion in the language, culture and way of life is guaranteed. We collect you at and return you to the nearest airport or railway station. Programmes are available all year.

Group Programmes (1675 years)
You benefit from a minimum of 15 hours (20 lessons) per week tuition in small friendly groups at one of our Institutes, with cultural visits and leisure activities. In order to maintain linguistic and cultural continuity, accommodation is with a selected, local host family. Studio apartments are also available. Open all year, with and special programmes during the summer.
