On some safaris, you can drive your own or a hired 4WD vehicle, and travel in the safety of a small convoy led by an expert guide. 4WD tuition is part of the package and no previous offroad experience is needed. Choose from selfcatering or participatory catering safaris.

On other adventures, you'll travel as a passenger in comfy safari vehicles.

Jeremy Perks, Director of Global Gypsies and 2004 Tour Guide of the Year, leads most of the safaris. Jeremy is a professional Tour Guide, Honorary CALM Ranger, experienced fourwheel driver and a qualified motor mechanic (petrol & diesel). He is extremely knowledgeable about the local flora, fauna and history and is trained in remote area firstaid.
