The Shelter City is very centrally located right in the middle of the oldest part of Amsterdam, an easy 7minute walk from Central Station and close to Dam Square, Madame Tussaud's, Rembrandt's House and most museums.
The hostel is 50 metres from 'Nieuwmarkt' a lively square with street markets held every week. The old Jewish Quarter leads of the square eastward. Nieuwmarkt is flanked to the west by the Red Light District and Amsterdam's small China town.
