The Green Parrot Beach Houses and Resort is located in southern Belize on the Placencia peninsula at Maya Beach. The resort is about midway down the peninsula. Most guests arrive by air at the Placencia air strip via Maya or Tropic airlines. Some will come by car, which is about a 3 hour drive on dirt roads from Belize City. note as of August 2009 the road is being paved! We are paved from the resort to Placencia. This will make travel much easier.
The resort is an ideal location to act as the center for ones vacation plans. Located on the Caribbean, the resort provides immediate access to all water related activities (fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and boating), as well as tours of Mayan ruins, the Monkey River, and the Jaguar Preserve.

Daily 1 or 2tank dive trip. 1st dive departs at 9am back around 1030. 2nd dive at 11am back at around 1230. Boat ride to "Local" Dive Sites along Barrier reef are anywhere from 515minutes. We come to shore during surface interval, serve fresh fruits and depart for second dive. Dive sites are many and we dive a different one for each dive, so this can afford you a great multiday package, visiting many sites throughout the week.
Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley combination trip is done twice daily at 9am1130am & again at 2pm430pm. This trip includes a 1tank 30ft dive at HolChan, while nondivers in the group snorkel the area. We then proceed to Shark Ray Alley for a snorkel stop. This is a nondivable area as it is shallow at 1215ft only.
Offshore Coral Atolls such as Lighthouse Reef home to the world famed Blue Hole, Half Moon Caye and Long Caye are available on a day trip basis. Day trips leave at 6am, returning by 430pm. Ambergris Divers boasts the fastest boat to the atolls getting you there in only 2hours, versus the 3hours of the bigger boats with lot more people!
