Flight seeing is the best way to see the the spectacular South Island. For example the Milford Fly Cruise Fly tour allows you to see Mount Cook and the Glaciers, the Southern Alps, Mount Aspiring, Milford Sound, Lakes Wanaka, Hawera, Ohau,Pukaki, and Tekapo. You are picked up from your Christchurch accommodation at 8am and returned by 330pm. Driving this tour would take at least 4 days!!
