The Everest or Khumbu region is justifiably the most famous of all trekking and mountain regions. Populated by Sherpas, the attractions of this area are the majestic mountains, the high mountain villages, the isolated monasteries, and the local peoples. This area includes the highest mountain in the world, Everest at 8,848m, and many of the world's 8,000m peaks such as Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Makalu. First climbed in 1953, Everest still holds a fascination for many, however the Everest region boasts many more spectacular and beautiful mountains, as well as some of the most rewarding trekking anywhere in the world.
The Everest Base Camp trek is a classic trek which follows in the footsteps of Hillary & Tenzing and ends with an ascent of Kala Pattar for superb views of Everest.

This trek starts with an exhilarating 45 minute mountain flight into the airstrip at Lukla. From here we trek slowly upwards to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar, following the valley of the Dudh Kosi river. It is not long before we glimpse our first view of Everest as it peeks above the LhotseNuptse ridge. At this point it is still many days walk away, but with careful acclimatization it is not long before we find ourselves high up in the heart of the Khumbu region.

We visit Tengbuche monastery en route before continuing on to our goal, an ascent of Kala Pattar, a rocky outcrop to the west of Everest. This vantage point gives fantastic views of the Ice Fall and South Col as well as the immense southwest face of Everest which was first climbed in 1975 by Chris Bonington's team. This is truly a classic trek, which undoubtedly gives one of the best mountain views in the world. Accommodation and food is provided in the local lodges

Mardi Himal Trekking

Mardi Himal is the name given to the feature of the long rising ridge and its summit that from the southwesterly lower slope of Mount Machhapuchhare, the famous triangular skyline that is seen from the Phewa Lake at Pokhara. As we shall soon see from a closer and more westerly vantage point, the mountain hold win peak thus its name, Machhapuchhare, which is English means "Fish tail". Machhapuchhare is the most southerly high point of the Annapurna Massif, the awesomely majestic grouping of mountains in the central Himalaya that includes 5 of the 12 highest mountains in the world all at close of very close quarters to our route.
An eightday hiking through the forest and on above the tree line and on up to from our high altitude camp at 4,100 m. from where there are the most amazing close quarter's views of all.

Now descending first through the forest, a different route takes us steeply down to the upper Mardi Khola, the torrent that has been the ice and the snow of the Mardi Himal. Although remote and still away from all the muchused trekking routes, our expedition now takes on the moods of the warm valleys and the friendly villages. Here, as we make our way along the bank of the Mardi Khola from the hill side village of siding, down through the lovely fields, past the simple farms and over the "interesting" bridges, there is no doubt this indeed the idyllic Nepali countryside.

Siklis Trekking

Siklis trek is known as Royal trek and this is an alternative to other short treks in the region, the SIKLISH TREKS probes an uncrowned corner of the Annapurna Conservation Area under the shadows of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II and IV. This fabulous camping trek takes you about a week, starting at Beganas Tal (Lake) and heading north to the Madi Khola, then following the river''s west bank up to wellpreserved Siklesh (1,980m.), Nepal''s biggest Gurung village. From here you strike westwards over the thickly forested ridge that separates the Madi and Seti Khola drainage''s and then descent via Ghachok, another Gurung settlement, to reach the Pokhara Baglung Highway. Variations on this route are often touted as the ''Royal Trek'', after a rally the troops swing Prince Charles took through the area in 1980 to visit the villages of Gorkha recruits, as part of an effort to develop this into a model ecotrekking route.

Nar Phu Valley Trekking

This is probably the best trek of Annapurna region and for those who want to explore hidden valley and trek off the beaten crossing through Challenging high passes like Masokanto La (5099m), Kangla pass (5200m) & Tilicho Pass (5230m) with beautiful Lake Tilicho.

Hidden by swirls of mountain mist ahead of us, from Kangla pass at 5200m the magnificent panorama view of Annapurna massif appears remote and forbidding. Our destination is the NarPhu valley, above the tree line on the upper limits of cultivation, in the very north of Manang district. It takes five hours reaching the pass that links Nar with Manang and three other Bhotia villages in the Nyershang down valley.

Nowadays, Nar Phu has about 300 inhabitants who depend on livestock, unlike most Bhotia people, whose trading patterns changed drastically after the Nepali Government closed borders with Tibet, the people of Nar and Phu valley were least affected by this change. The tortuous path leading from the valley into Tibet had never made them dependent on the salt trade, and till today yak herding is the basis of their livelihood. The Nepal government''''s recent decision to open up Nar and Phu to tourists has evoked little enthusiasm among the villagers, whose pastoral lifestyle continues. Apart from the odd researcher and climbing expeditions permitted to climb Him lung, Ratnachuli and Gachikang, few foreigners has visited the area and tourism infrastructure is almost nonexistent. Since Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) recently extended its network to include Nar and Phu Valley, it is preparing a suitable tourism development plan at the request of the government for undiscovered valley. We start this trek after driving almost whole day from Kathmandu to Besishar. From here we follow Pupular Annapurna Circuit route until Koto and then we take off the beaten trails until we get Nar Phu. After visiting this area we trek back to manang, a beautiful village of Annapurna trail and continue trek to Tilicho route. After trekking about 5 days through Tilicho Lake and two beautiful but challenging pass of this region we end our trek at Jomsom where we catch our flight to Pokhara and later to Kathmanmdu.
