Devonport is an historic seaside township, where in world war II the New Zealand Navy defended Auckand City from a japanese invasion in the Hauraki Gulf (a marine park).

The Hauraki Gulf is an area consisting of 85 islands including our most famous Rangitoto Island. Most of the islands are accessible by the public via a ferry service or by private owned boats and sea kayak.
