You are just steps from one of the best Cape Cod bay beaches. The water in the bay is warmer and more pleasant than the oceanside and there is no rough surf as there can be at the oceanside beaches. You can walk to a private association beach, public bay beaches, or fresh water ponds. The ocean beaches of Coastguard and Nauset are a short drive away.

Eastham is between Orleans and Wellfleet on Cape Cod, Massachussetts. Eastham is described in the Original Cape Cod Guide as, "Eastham is the home of the Visitor's Center at the National Seashore. Spend some time at Coast Guard Beach and look out over Nauset Marsh, where Henry Thoreau wrote his book "Cape Cod." Stroll by the magnetic sight of Nauset Light, blinking red and white, and feel the chill when you see how close it is to the ever eroding coastline."
