Dakini's Bed & Breakfast is located in Zurichs famous "District 4", a trendy former immigrant neighborhood.
In the 1990ies many young people began to move in and slowly took over, initiating a proicess of gentrification. Thus we now have a fantastic parc behind the house with free summer concerts of all styles (performed by Swiss bands), as well as a lively neighborhood with many events and international fiestas. The winter is much more quiet, yet there are over 20 art galleries & museums in the vicinity as well as many good restaurants, clubs, cinemas and terraces where you can enjoy the weather and the sights of the more unusual passersby, District 4 being legendary for its (day and) night life.
Downtown Zurich the more conventional and commercial parts of town are within walking distance. We also have fantastic public transportation in this city and in this country so that you are best off without a car.
