Our house stands up the hill over viewing a charming market town of Prades. The road from Perpignan is lined with apple, peach and apricot orchards that start blossoming in March that's a view! The town centre, a 10minute stroll, has a lot of restaurants well worth visiting and all the necessary shops, banks and ATMs, 2 very good supermarkets and one organic supermarket, selling a huge variety of whole foods and local organic wine. There is a large municipal swimming pool and tennis courts in town.Prades is an activity heaven all year round. Skiing (DecemberMarch) at 5 or 6 Pyrenean resorts (low cost, great quality) that could be reached in 40 min but you can also enjoy it at Col de Jau, the smallest skiing resort in Europe in 15 km from Prades (2 downhill ski pistes, crosscountry ski, snowshoe walking). Swimming at 56 sea resorts (45 km to Canet plage) or at the lake Vinca (10 km) good also for surfing and sailing. Or you can swim in warm waters at the thermal spas of St. ThomaslesBains against the backdrop of the mountains. Another 2 spas in 6 km. There are 3 golf courses nearby, 15 min to the closest (9 holes), 4 natural reserves within easy reach ideal for walkers. Animal Park at Les Angles, 2 adventure parks (6 km) will keep your whole family busy for quite a time. Also waiting for you are medieval fortresses and abbeys, Yellow Train, Picasso, Matisse, Dali masterpieces in local museums, music festivals and a lot of wine! And Prades holds weekly market.

We are located at the junction of the A9 (motorway to Spain, 10 minutes to an entrance) and the A7 (motorway to Italy, 20 minutes to an entrance). The Rhone valley, an area rich in culture and traditions, attracts millions of visitors each year. Our village is at the centre of a triangle Avignon (10 mins), Nimes (20 mins), Orange (20 mins). The Pont du Gard is 15 minutes away. This part of France has sunshine for 300 days of the year and very low rainfall.
