We really enjoyed our stay in Diego Martin with Danny & his family. He made sure we were safe by arranging a driver or even taking us to places himself. The guesthouse is very safe in a gated community with a beautiful garden which has fruit trees and wildlife.
Diego Martin is a small, quiet town not far from Port of Spain and 'Movietown.' Maxis are easy to negoiate but don't stay out too late or you may not get back. Not many local places to eat - only fast food but Danny's wife will cook you a lovely meal if you ask. Accomodation was fine but very hot rooms. I would go back to Brahma Bhuta as it holds very good memories for us.
