Best time of my life!
Sailing the Turkish coast in '99 was my first major trip outside of the US and Mexico. I've since visited about 25 countries and have lived in Europe and Africa. To date, sailing on a Turkish gullet has been my favorite adventure. The crew was wonderful, the food was fabulous and the destination intriguing,
I went back in 06 and sailed a different route (south of Bodrum). The ruins were just as fascinating and the water perfectly clear.
I'm dying to go again!

The only downer was the first night. I assume you know that often they do not leave Bodrum the first night. We got there at one, as we were told. They then said the first event was dinner at about 8! And, since one party was coming in in the evening we would leave the next morning. It was hot and the cabins were hot. The only choice was to sleep on the deck which was great all the other nights, but Bodrum is a volcano of disco noise until 3:30 am. The most miserable night of my recent life when I wasn't deathly ill. Still..we enjoyed it and recommend it.
