It is close to the University of Pretoria, UNISA, the Union Buildings and the following hospitals: Zuid Afrikaans, Little Company of Mary, The Pretoria Heart Hospital, the Eye Institute, the Urology Hospital, Jacaranda Hospital, Louis Pasteur Private Hospital and Medforum.

Clydesdale borders on the suburbs of Arcadia, Hatfield, Muckleneuck, Brooklyn and Sunnyside.

2km from the new Gautrain Hatfield station and the University of Pretoria.

Directions
Coming from the north, the main entrance via Lynnwood Road:
N1, the Polokwane (Pietersburg) highway, will take you to the N4 straight into Pretorius Street towards Pretoria City. Turn left into Eastwood Street (becomes Kirkness) continue till Gate 5 Loftus on your left, turn right into Bond Street which veers to the left. Kirkness Guesthouse on your right, no. 25.

Coming from the Johannesburg National Airport:
The Pretoria off-ramp at the airport will take you to Fountains Circle. Take the Groenkloof or Brooklyn off-ramp (about 270 degrees around the circle). In George Storrar Drive, drive 2.6 km and turn left into Queen Wilhelmina Drive. Continue to University Road (Magnolia Dell on your right) turn right into University road, after traffic light first left into Walton Jameson, cross traffic light, right into Bond Street to Kirkness Guest House on your left.

Coming from Johannesburg on N1/M1
M1 North, take N1 North, continue till Pretoria East Polokwane split, continue on N1 Polokwane, Pretoria East past Centurion. Continue past the John Vorster, Botha, Pretoria City, Rigel, Garstfontein, Menlyn Atterbury off-ramps. Take the next off-ramp, Lynnwood road turn left at traffic light (away from highway) continue for about 8 km. You will have passed the University of Pretoria on the right. Go under a railway bridge, at traffic circle turn right into Kirkness. Take the first road to your left, Bond Street. Kirkness Guest House in 25 Bond Street on your right.

Coming from the west:
From Schoeman or Church Street, turn right into Eastwood Street, (becomes Kirkness) Continue till Gate 5 Loftus on your left, turn right into Bond Street which veers to the left. Kirkness Guesthouse on your right, no. 25.
