Thornhill Safari Lodge offers an affordable getaway with comfortable rooms and excellent facilities in 13 authentic thatch-roof chalets. Vibrant fabrics and local hardwood furniture all create that rustic yet stylish bush atmosphere. All bedrooms have en suite facilities, overhead fans, mosquito nets and wooden decks that overlook the lodge, pool area and surrounding bushveld.
Thornhill Safari Lodge is located within the Greater Kruger Park ecosystem, a mere 40km from Kruger Park's Orpen gate. This area is a premier eco- tourist destination, with ever present views of the Drakensburg Escarpment.

We cater for group bookings, individual guests on self drives, fly in safaris and honeymoon couples. Transfers can be arranged from both Eastgate and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airports.
All accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis with light lunches included.
Two game activities are included per bed night.
Thornhill Safari Lodge also offers guided or selfguided walking trails throughout the conservancy. Big five game drives are conducted daily. The lodge also offers optional tours to places of interest. These include, a day drive into Kruger Park, a tour of the Panorama Route including the Blyde River Canyon, a visit to Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre, the cheetah breeding project or a guided tour of the Shangaan tribal village.

Directions
Take the N4 from JHB / Pretoria. Bypass Witbank and Middelburg, continue onto Belfast. From Belfast travel towards Dullstroom and then on to Lydenburg. From Lydenburg take the R36 to Orighstad and continue straight until you pass through the JG Strijdom Tunnel.

From the tunnel continue for approximately 27 km before turning right at the Reptile Park and continue straight until you reach a sign pointing to Orpen & The South African Wildlife College. Turn left and continue on the R531 for about 1 km.
Turn left onto the first dirt road, sign posted Guernsey. Pass through the security boom gate. Continue along the dirt road for about 8 km until you see the signpost for The Geurnsey Private Nature Reserve and Thornhill Safari Lodge on your right hand side.
Turn right into a corridor road and travel until you reach the entrance gates to the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve. Follow the wooden signs to Thornhill Safari Lodge.
