Osho Hostel

Welcome to the first private Hostel in Poprad. Osho Hostel is a newly renovated and freshly designed hostel ideally situated in a quiet area that is only 10 minutes from the train and bus station, 10 minutes from Poprad’s city centre, and a 15kms from the High Tatras. Osho Hostel offers an easy going and friendly atmosphere for those travelers looking to relax after a long day of exploring the High Tatras or checking out Poprad’s local scene. The Hostel also offers the unique experience of being located on the top floor of a “communist style” apartment block with great views of the High Tatras.

Osho Hostel has private and dorm style rooms with a large common area, fully stocked kitchen, balcony and BBQ for guest use. At Osho we love music and having a good party, but seeing as there are heaps of great restaurants and bars within minutes of the hostel we prefer to keep our place as a low key chill-out zone for relaxing.


The hostel is run by friendly English speaking Poprad residents who have done tons of their own backpacking and have now returned to Poprad to help back-packers explore the city. We have an in-depth knowledge of the area surrounding Poprad and are more than happy to help you plan your days hike, skiing or activities in and around Poprad.

We also offer lots of free services during your stay with us as being backpackers ourselves we know what it can be like when a place nickles and dimes you to death. Here is a list of some of the facilities we offer:

Directions

The hostel is located within a 10 minute walk (1 km) from both the bus station and train station as well as the city centre.

Directions from the Bus Station:

1. Head south on Alžbetina toward Drevárska 0.3 km
2. Turn right at Bernolákova 0.3 km
3. Turn right at Partizánska 0.1 km
The apartment building is the first large apartment building on your left on the opposite side of the street Partizanska. Hostel Osho is located on the 8th floor of the 4th apartment door from the left when facing the apartment block.

Directions from the Train Station:

1. Head east on Jiřího Wolkera toward Mnoheľova 29 m
2. Turn right at Mnoheľova 0.2 km
3. Turn right at Hviezdoslavova 0.1 km
4. Turn left at Alžbetina 0.2 km
5. Turn right at Bernolákova 0.3 km
6. Turn right at Partizánska 0.1 km

If you get disoriented from the bus and train station/ can not find the street names above, or if you arrive in Poprad from some other means here are some additional directions below:
- Exit the train or bus station and walk in the direction of the city centre (south)
- You will come to Poprad river which runs parallel to the city centre on the North side of the city (the High Tatras are in the North). The hostel is located next to this river upstream of the city centre.
-Walking upstream along the river you will see a large traffic circle on your left. You will cross two of the traffic circle exits, the second exit that you cross is Partizanska, the hostel is located on Partizanska

After you cross Partizanska walk adjacent to this street and you will see a large apartment block on your left. Osho Hostel is located on the 8th floor of the 4th apartment door on your left.
