Situated at the foot of the Montagne Noire (Black Mountains) in the Mid Pyrenees, and close to the Parc Regional du Haut Languedoc, Mazamet is a traditional French Market Town in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is extremely popular with families, walkers, cyclists, golfers, fishermen and anyone looking for a relaxing break.

Mazamet Central is a spacious family run Chambres d'hotes (Bed and Breakfast), which dates from the 19th Century and is right in the centre of town.

We offer you a warm, relaxed and friendly welcome, clean and comfortable accommodation, with a swimming pool, in an amazing location. We are situated in a quiet street just off the main square and are in easy reach of bars, restaurants, shops, the local market, train station and attractions.


The lake in the mountains is just a 10 minute drive and the Mediterranean is just over an hour away. Languages spoken include: French, English, German, Russian and some basic Spanish.

Buffet breakfast is included and is served in the kitchen, but you are welcome to eat either in your room, at the main table, or on the terrace

We are the most central Chambres Guesthouse in Mazamet. From the front door you can see the local market, shops, restaurants and bars at the end of the street in one direction, and the mountains in the other.

Just 10 minutes drive and you can be relaxing, fishing, walking, cycling, swimming, riding or playing mini-golf by the lake. There is a beautiful man-made beach by the lake and the Mediterranean is just one hour further away.

Other local attractions include museums, galleries, churches, the medieval village of Hautpoul, a waterslide park and the Maison du Bois et du Jouet (wooden toys) centre in the middle of the mountains, as well as many other historical sites.

Directions

From Carcassonne:

Drive down D118 and just after the Mazamet sign you will come to a roundabout
Take the first exit and go to the traffic lights
Go straight ahead and after the bend in the road you will see the Hotel Boulevard on your left
Take the next road on the right before the photo shop. Follow the road to the end. After it bends left, you will then see us on the right hand side. White house, blue shutters.

Follow the signs to the Centre Ville in the direction of Carcassonne on the D118
The centre of Mazamet is the Cours René Reille, where you will see all the Banks
Continue up the hill towards Carcassonne for 200 metres and you will see the Hotel Boulevard on your right
Take the next road on the left after the photo shop. Follow the road to the end. After it bends left, you will then see us on the right hand side. White house, blue shutters.
