Tropical Suites

Vacation in luxury at these twelve hilltop, Tropical Suites. These unique and charming rooms are surrounded by exuberant tropical gardens and are just 90 steps from the beach on a bluff overlooking the Pacific. Elegantly appointed, each suite is graced with hand carved four post canopy king size bed. All rooms have air conditioning , private bath with jaccuzi, hair dryer, mini bar, coffee maker, safe deposit box, telephone and satellite TV. All suites are contained within an elliptical, shell shaped cluster and share a sun deck.

By Air

A short 25 minute flight takes you to the Tambor Airport, which is located just 5 miles (8km) from Tango Mar.

This service is served daily by 2 companies.

Also, private flights can be arranged.
Transfer between Tango Mar and Tambor Airport cost US$9.00 per person per way.

By Car

Drive for approximately one hour and thirty minutes from Juan Santamaria Airport to Puntarenas.

Take the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera, in this relaxing top of one hour and fifteen minutes you can see the Gulf Islands, birds, dolphins, etc.

Once at the other side, Tango Mar is only a short forty minutes drive on a paved road, through mountains, forests, charming towns and panoramic ocean views.


Special service from San Jose to Tango Mar

A shuttle service can be provided from San Jose; to Tango Mar hotel.

You are picked up at your hotel in San Jose; and drive 2 hours to Puntarenas, second largest port of Costa Rica. There, the driver puts you on the ferry that takes you to Paquera in one hour and fifteen minutes. In Paquera, we pick you up with our van and drive you in approximately 40 minutes to Tango Mar.

This pleasant trip of 4.5 hours includes land transportation, ferry tickets and costs US$ 160 for two people. For 3 or more persons, ask about our special rates.
