Located only 225 kilometers from San Jose and 2.5 kilometers south of the town of Puerto Viejo in the wildlife protected area of Cocles, you can find this new alternative to allow tourists to border and enjoy more their destinations.

We have facilities designed in a very rustic-exotic way according to the architecture of the region; cabins have no TV set, no telephone, no newspapers. We do have a TV room near the restaurant area and offer newspaper service everyday. The lodge has lots of wood, wide corridors, rooms are very well aired and of course, you can enjoy the Caribbean culture and the exuberant flora and fauna of the place.


The Hotel has three modules : The first one has four rooms in the first floor with a corridor in front of them and on the second floor there are four other rooms with a corridor just in front (all rooms have their own shower room and sea view).

The second module is made up at first level of five rooms and a corridor in front of them with a reading room at first level; on the second floor four there are four rooms (all rooms have their own shower room and sea view).

The third module has the front desk, the manager's office, the kitchen with a self service area, the bar (for 15 people seated at the bar) and the restaurant for 50 people (all tables have sea view). This area has a typical Caribbean structure and totally open for full ventilation. It is important to remark that in our quest for improved customer service, some of our facilities offer easy access for the elder and handicapped people.

Restaurant service is given by Trattoria 'La Gata' , across the street where customers will enjoy delicious Caribbean cuisine dishes, italian pasta and fresh fish cooked with simplicity but with taste. The architecture of 'La Gata' restaurant is rustic, well aired and truly Caribbean style.

At our bar 'Lapalapa' you can order a variety of drinks, juices and cocktails.


During August and September of each year, Casa Camarona offers concerts of chamber music, jazz and opera and guitar recitals in which customers and people of the community of Puerto Viejo, can enjoy the magic of the music played by famous concert solists and opera singers of the world.

Directions

Located only 225 kilometers from San Jose and 2.5 kilometers south of the town of Puerto Viejo in the wildlife protected area of Cocles.

In case you are driving a car or you come in a private or public transportation, you should take the Braulio Carrillo Highway until you get to Limón City (downtown) where you take the detour to Limon airport and then to Banano river, go past Cahuita, Hone Creek, Puerto Viejo and finally Cocles Village. The trip lasts about 4:30 hours
