Ningxia Jixiang Youth Hostel

Ningxia Jixiang Youth Hostel is a new hostel (opened April 2008) in the Xixia District of Yinchuan, Ningxia. It is the only international youth hostel in the whole of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Our aim is to become the natural starting point and gathering place for foreigner traveling in and around the exiting Ningxia province.

Ningxia is the last unexplored and undiscovered province of China. In the whole of this 6 million people small province there are only 150 foreigners residing, this is definitely the place to go to experience the essential and pure China. Yinchuan is also a natural and convenient stop-over for anyone traveling from Beijing into the Chinese interior. It has good travel connections with Xining, Xinjiang, Inner-Mongolia, Lanzhou and even Tibet.


This tiny province is home to the muslim Hui minority, giving it a very exiting and diverse culture and feel. This is apparent in the eating culture, dress-code and the many mosques
one can see spread around.

Ningxia has a long and mysterious history, with many undiscovered hidden cultural gems. Here you can find the very amazing Xixia tombs, the ancient pyramid like burial ground for the Xixia rulers. There are nine royal tombs and over 100 nobles` tombs. This ancient people used to be one of the most powerful in the whole of China, they were also the people who eventually killed the great Genghis Khan of Mongolia.

The hostel is located in the Xixia District of Yinchuan city. It is located just by Ningxia
University, a kilometer from the translation and just in the lively New City area.
To get to the Old City and the bus station is just a short 30-35 min., 2 yuan bus ride, or a
20 yuan taxi ride.
From Yinchuan Train Station:
Take bus-number 102 or 18 westwards, get off at Ningxia University South Gate, (Ningda
Nanmen). The ride takes less then 10 min. From the bus stop the hostel is located across
on the other side of the big intersection.
Also, taxi would only be 5 yuan from the train station. Ningda Wenhua Gong (宁大文化宫)
From Hedong Airport:
There is an airport bus (16 yuan) corresponding to all arrivals and departures to Yinchuan
Hedong Airport to the Nanmen Bus-station, from there take bus 102 (2 yuan) directly to the
hostel. Ningda Wenhua Gong bus stop (宁大文化宫).
You can also take a taxi directly to the hostel from the airport, fixed at 100 yuan.
From Yinchuan Nanmen Bus-station:
Just outside the bus station you take bus 102 (2 yuan) directly to the hostel. Ningda
Wenhua Gong bus stop (宁大文化宫). A taxi would cost around 20-25 yuan.Tel:0951-2023021
