Riverwalk House is located in the picturesque village of Oughterard, Co. Galway known as "The Gateway to Connemara". Oughterard lies on the banks of "Lough Corrib" one of the largest lakes in europe famous for fishinlg Brown Trout and Wild Salmon. Our location is ideally based for touring Connemara, Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. Some tourist attractions include viewing the "Hill of Doon", playing a round of golf in Oughterard's scenic 18-hole golf course or enjoying a cruise on Lough Corrib to Cong (where the Quiet Man movie was made with "John Wayne"in the 1950's) or to Inchagoill Island, or visit the 16th century Aughnanure Castle.
Accommodations
Riverwalk House is an elegant Irish home with a friendly atmosphere to welcome our guests. All ensuite bedrooms are tastefully decorated with tea/coffee facilities, T.V.,hairdryers and information booklets. Guests are welcomed into our livingroom by our large open turf fire where a selection of books are at the ready. On a sunny day the use of our mature landscaped garden is available to our guests where they can sit on our deck and enjoy a glass of wine.

Directions
From Galway follow the N59 road to Clifden a 30 minute drive to Oughterard. On arrival in the village drive down the main street towards the Church and a bridge, go over the bridge (signposted at the bridge) and take a right along the little river. We are only 200mtrs from bridge on the right.
