The Drift is the Newest and hottest thing to recently open in Hanoi...Were 2 Aussies & past time Backpackers, living in Hanoi, knowing what was missing...So we joined forces, put our capes on and have created a Backpacker Haven like no other....

You Simply Won't Want To Leave!!

So This is Our Creation -

*8th Floor - Our pride & joy, 'Tequila MockingBird', Our Rooftop Bar with views over the lake and Hanoi, serving up funky cocktails, wine and icy cold beers.

Heaps of drink specials and events up in the bar daily & Don't Miss Our Happy Hour Every Night!!

*7th Floor - The Pool Room - Have a casual game or join in our weekly pool comps!

6th - 2nd Floors - We have 10 HUGE rooms, eight bunk beds per room, fully airconditioned with comfy king size single beds each with powersockets, bed shelf, reading light & FREE linen and towels.


Each room has its own private bathroom, with two showers, toilet and basin.

Also in each room we have huge secure storage lockers for all your gear....

*2nd Floor - Is our Movie Room with a HUGE plasma screen with surround sound for an awesome cinema experience and a large collection of DVD's.

Free Internet terminals, Book Exchange and heaps of games...AND let's not forget our huge comfy sofa and bean bags....

*1st Floor - 'Pulp Kitchen Cafe' ...'What a cafe in a hostel???'...Yep you've got it...Grab your FREE Breakfast of the regular fruit, toast, jams, tea & coffee between 6.30am-10.00am, then come meet 'Chef Kenny', who starts whipping up some amazing western dishes you've been craving for ....From Huge Breakies to Hamburgers, Pasta, Salads, Mexican food, Sanga's, even Baked Spuds and Milkshakes....Open until 10pm daily...

*Reception - Open 24hours to help you day & night..

Worried about getting to that 8th floor - Never fear we've got an elevator in here!!!

*If you've bought along your laptop we have free wifi throughout the entire hostel..

*TOURS that are not 'Same Same'!! ..... We can help plan, organise and book you a tour that will be really something special to take away when you leave. Tours of Northern Vietnam to places such as the famous Halong Bay and Sapa Valley are a must!

Or we'll just give you some friendly and honest advice...We have experts in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos & Thailand.
AND.....If your heading down South we'll assist you in getting their....

We offer an airport pick up service!

Email us and let us know of your flight details and our friendly staff can meet you at the airport and get you safe and sound to our front door at a cheaper rate than airport fees!

You'll find us located at 42 Truong Han Sieu - Hoan Kiem District.

If you're roughing it on your own..

From Train Station:

- Exit east from the train station and head east down Tran Hung Dao.
- When you get to Ba Trieu (6 streets down) take a right and head south.
- When you get to Tran Quoc Toan (2 streets down) take a right and head west.
- Turn left into Truong Han Sieu (1st left) and we're on the right.

From Airport:

We strongly recommend you let us know when you're coming in and we can organise an airport pick up as there are some dodgy taxi operators and you may find it hard convincing them to take you were you want!

But if you are finding your own way down be sure to print out our address and show it to the taxi driver.

From Vietnam Airlines Shuttle Drop Off (Corner Quang Trung and Trang Thi) :

- Walk south down Quang Trung (opposite direction of traffic) and take a left into Ngo Van So (5 streets down).
- First left into Truong Han Sieu and we're down on the right!
