Normandie Midtown Hostel

We have run this hotel over 50 years at the mid town of Los Angeles with more than 100 rooms all En-suite.
And now, we renovated all facilities for welcoming backpackers from all around world.
We are only half block away from a subway stop and major bus lines to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Hollywood, as well as one block away from one of L.A’s major commercial stretches, including walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, transportation, night clubs
and more!

All our rooms are en-suite, and contain two double bed, dormitory beds, TV and some even a kitchen, as well as a walk in closet! Two fully equipped kitchens on the ground floor ensure plenty of cooking space. And what could make a better dining area than a ball room, or a fully equipped restaurant setting?


For the urban minded backpacker Normandie Mid Town Hotel is the place to be. Located merely 5 minutes from Downtown L.A, 10 minutes from Beverly Hills, UCLA, Hollywood, and 30 minutes from the Santa Monica Beach. No other hostel in L.A is as accessible as us to go so many places without renting a car.

Public Transportation
Catch the Flyaway bus from the lower (or ‘arrivals’) terminal level at LAX. Its final destination will be Union Station. Look for a green sign that reads 'FlyAway, Buses and Long Distance Vans'.

From Union Station, catch the Metro Red Line subway towards North Hollywood. Get off at the Wilshire/Vermont station. Walk upstairs and catch the Metro Purple Line towards Wilshire/Western. Get off at Wilshire/Normandie.

Prime Time/Coast Shuttle Vans
Outside the LAX luggage pickup area look for a Long Distance Vans sign. Find either Prime Time or Coast Shuttle. Explain that you’re going to Normandie Hotel, Normandie Ave.

From Downtown LA Greyhound Station
Catch Metro bus #720 or #18 from 6th or 7th Streets at the cross-Streets Central ave or Alameda Street near the Greyhound station. With bus #720 get off at Wilshire blvd at Normandie Ave, and walk 1 block north to 6th Street. With bus #18 get off at 6th Street and Normandie Ave.

Take the Metro red-line towards North Hollywood. Get off at the Hollywood/Highland station. We are located right across the street from this stop.
