Backpackers Haleiwa

Haleiwa - We are located on Oahu's famous North Shore. We offer all types of budget accommodation which include dorm beds, oceanfront studio apartments, private rooms in shared houses and 2-4 bedroom privates cabins.

We also offer free snorkeling equipment and boogy boards and onsite bicycle and surfboard rentals and lessons. We organise all-you-can-eat dinners a few nights a week and discounts at local attractions!

We also have free shuttle to pick you up and drop you to the airport and to Waikiki once a day. Please contact us after booking to arrange airport pick-up.

Directions

If you are arriving on the morning flights you can meet our driver outside foreign arrivals. Please call for pick up times (number given after booking). If you miss the morning shuttle you can leave your luggage at the airport locker ( no luggage on the bus ) and take # 62 and transfer to the # 52 bus to the North Shore for $2.00. We can pick up your luggage on our next trip to town. Get off one stop past Waimea Falls Park: the bus stops 20 meters past the hostel.


The Backpackers' Shuttle makes a trip into town around noon. Please call (number given after booking) for pick up times. If you come in to the airport after 12pm you will need to take the bus and we can pick up your luggage the following day. If your arriving anytime after 6pm you need to arrange for a late check-in, and or a special pick up. Our office closes at 7pm.

If you have rented a car, directions are as follows: take the H1 west towards Waianae, then take H2 north towards North Shore or Wahiawa. Carry on, following signs to Haleiwa. When you get to the Haleiwa turnoff stay on Kam. Hwy.. (go straight) continue east along the coast for 4 miles to Waimea bay. Go around the bay, past Waimea Falls Park. We are the third driveway on your right past the little Catholic Church.
