We do not boast and do not claim for the name of “the very best”hostel like the others. You can surely expect the most ukrainian hostel, full of handmade furniture&stuff. Our workers have spent enormous efforts gathering in the hostel antiquarian ukrainian household articles, kitchen ware, furniture.

We are located in the central and one of the most busiest parts of the city – near the National Ivan Franko University,though in a quiet place with very littlle traffic. Facing the university – turn into the left street – and we are under Nr. 12 – in an old austrian building.


Hostel consists of 4 spacious rooms with thick wooden furniture, wooden parquet, kitchen and the reception-lounge.



Hostelling is not a europian, it is old ukrainian tradition. It has it`s roots deep in the history of the ukrainian nation, being always famous for it`s hospitality,generosity and open-heartedness. It has since old times been the custom among ukrainian people to invite travellers into the house and to give them a warm treatment. Travelling and wandering was popular in Ukraine since old ages.

Remember only a travelling ukrainian philosopher Grygorij Skovoroda.

How to get to the hostel:

From the RAILWAY STATION:
1) Take a Taxi to 12 Lepkoho (Лепкого) str. (~ 25 UAH) - Old Ukrainian Home Hostel.

2) Take a Tramway #6 to the stop named 'St. Anna`s Church', go down the street about 150m -turn right , find 12 Lepkoho (Лепкого) str. apr.4 - Old Ukrainian Home Hostel.

3) Take a minibus ('Marshootka')#66 to the University of Law. Turn right , find 12 Lepkoho (Лепкого) str. apr.4 - Old Ukrainian Home Hostel.

4) Go 250m straight, make left on big streetcross, go down the Horodotska (Городоцька) str. till GEOX store, make right to Lepkoho str. Total 1900m (~20 mins)

From AIRPORT:
1) Take a Taxi to 12 Lepkoho (Лепкого) str. (~ 30 UAH)

2) Take a minibus ('Marshootka')#95 to Svoboda avenue (main avenue, Shevchenko monument). From Svoboda avenue go to the Lviv National University. Turn right near University, find 12 Lepkoho (Лепкого) str. apr.4 - Old Ukrainian Home Hostel.

3) Take a Troleybus #9 to the Lviv National University (the last stop), find 12 Lepkoho (Лепкого) str. apr.4 - Old Ukrainian Home Hostel.

From the BUS STATION:
1) Take a Taxi to 12 Lepkoho (Лепкого) str. (~ 35 UAH) - Old Ukrainian Home Hostel.

2) Take a minibus ('Marshootka')#71, 180 to Svoboda avenue (main avenue, Shevchenko monument). From Svoboda avenue go to the Lviv National University. Turn right near University, find 12 Lepkoho (Лепкого) str. apr.4 - Old Ukrainian Home Hostel.
