The Casa da Baixa - Guesthouse is a hundred-year-old house, recently renovated to exacting quality standards, where you can settle in and enjoy utter comfort and privacy.

We currently offer an independent duplex apartment with an entrance hall, one bedroom and complete bathroom on the lower floor, and an external bathroom, lounge and fully equipped kitchenette on the upper floor.

This is ideal for groups of four to six people, with two bunks in the bedroom to accommodate four people, and a sofa-bed with storage space in the lounge. The simple decor, making use of contemporary lines and natural light, provides you with an extremely pleasant and comfortable stay.


Just a block away from Torre dos Clerigos, one of the landmarks of the city, you are right in the centre. In easy walking distance is the entire world heritage historic centre. In addition to the tower, visit the Town Hall, the Tourist Office, S. Bento Station, the Cathedral, the Ribeira, the Port Wine Cellars, the Stock Exchange Palace, the Church of St. Francis, the Portuguese Photography Centre, and the Soares dos Reis National Museum.


Also at your disposal are cable TV and internet, which you can use to select your favorite web radio.

From the metro station Aliados, at the main square, take Rua Elisio de Melo at your right hand up to Praia D. Filipa de Lencastre. Take left to Rua de Avis and then right to Rua de Santa Teresa. You got here. Ring at number 6, 1st floor.
