Cafe 1511

Cafe1511 is actually part of the BABA NYONYA HERITAGE MUSEUM. The building consist of 3 blocks,was build in 1896 and it took 5 yrs to complete. It was build by the late Mr Chan Cheng Siew who was a prominent planter. Cafe1511 is the third block and it use to be the servant's quarters.

We are situated in the heart of UNESCO gazette WORLD HERITAGE MALACCA ZONE at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, formerly known as HEEREN STREET in Dutch or STREET OF GENTLEMEN. The Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum is one of the Heritage Building in Malacca.

Cafe1511 have been operating for 8 yrs and now we have only 4 rooms upstairs and we are a Boutique Guest House. You will be staying in a Living Museum as it is part of the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum. We will ONLY accept 30 yrs and above for personal reason.......SORRY!.


Every room are air condition and have a fan. The beds are all wooden beds so that it blends with the building. Our windows are all existing windows which are make from hard wood. As for the rest of the building it is untouch and as original as it is. The bathrooms are new and we have hot and cold shower.

The Sitting Lounge and the Internet Section is located beside an Airwell and it is very airy in the night. We have Cable TV and a DVD Library. In the Internet Section, we have 2 PC for our guest to surf and it is 24 hrs. Coffee and Tea is provided free in these 2 areas and you will find yourself very relaxing in our Cafe1511.

Directions

From the Sentral Bus Station. Take a bus to the Clock Tower or Stadthuys Building and drop off here. From here, cross the bridge, turn left and walk along the main road which is Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock for about 3 mins and you will find us on our right hand side.
