Minshuku Murahamasou

Murahamasou Ryokan is a traditional japanese style inn. We are located on Lake Shoji in Kawaguchiko. Rooms are japanese style, tatami floor, and guests sleep on futons. All rooms include television, yukata (japanese robe), slippers, and green tea.

We have shared bath and toilets. We provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toothbrush. It is possible to reserve one of the baths for private family or group bath time. We also have a washer and dryer if you need to use it.

Included in the room charge is one dinner and one breakfast. We serve japanese cuisine, using local and seasonal foods. If you have dietary concerns or preferences, please let us know when you make your reservation. After dinner, the big tatami room can be used for watching movies on the big TV. We have a DVD player and a selection of American and Japanese movies. You can also relax in the lounge and have drinks with friends. We have shouchu, sake, chu hi, beer, cola, tea, etc available 24 hours.


There is a family restaurant next door, and you can reach a nearby convenience store in 10-15 minutes walking.
We have boat rental available for fishing, and there is a bus stop 1 minute walking. Nearby is hiking, a huge amusement park, caves, museums, and of course Mt Fuji!
5th station is about 40 minutes by car, or you can catch the bus at Kawaguchiko station.

Check in is 4:00 pm, and check out is 10:00 am, but if you need early check in or late check out, please let us know, we will try to accommodate you. We have free parking available if you visit by car. Taxi from the station takes about 25 minutes.

Directions

You can take a bus from Shinjuku or Tokyo station in Tokyo, and arrive Kawaguchiko station in around 2 hours.

By train, you can take JR line at Shinjuku station (Chuo line) to Otsuki station. Next, take Fuji-Kyuko line to Kawaguchiko station.

Please catch a local bus if you can from Kawaguchiko Station to Shouji Lake bus stop. (13:38 and 16:08) The Shouji Lake bus stop is right next to the ryokan.
If you are sightseeing on retrobus, you can catch the local bus at the lave cave (Fugaku Fuketsu) at 14:04 and 16:34.
If you cannot make either of these times, please call us and we can tell you which bus to catch, and where we can pick you up close to the ryokan.

I you are driving, you can reach Murahamasou in 30 minutes from Kawaguchiko interchange, Chuo Highway. Take route 139, towards Shoji lake. Next make a right on Route 358. When the road splits, go left to continue around the lake. Murahamasou is approx 500 meters ahead on your right. We are the inn with the blue roof, We have parking on the right side or left side of the road.

You can also take taxi from Kawaguchiko station (around 6000 yen), the bus is much cheaper). Sometimes we can pick up your luggage if you arrive early, so you can sightsee from Kawaguchiko. Please make arrangements with us ahead of time, by email or phone.

Murahamasou is a country inn, located about 25 minutes driving from Kawaguchiko station.
