Brookville is a family run Guest House offering a Real Irish Welcome by Liam, Dei, Julie and Claire. We pride ourselves in our very high standards which results in a large number of recommendations and repeat business.

We at 'Brookville' strive to give that personal touch that one will not find in a Hotel situation. We at Brookville feel that staying in a large Hotel can be very cold, staid and inpersonal and very much the same, whatever country one is in. Because of this we really care and are always here to help, or to extend a real Irish Welcome to one and all.If you want to experience a Real Irish Atmosphere with a bit of craic, Brookville House is the place to stay.

It is a really homely establishment, with great care given to quality and cleanliness, with the personal needs of all Guests looked after, the large number of people that return, year after year, proves that 'the personal touch', does work.


We have 25 bedrooms incorporating single, double, twin, triple and family rooms accommodating up to 5 persons. A Baby's cot and child's fold down bed can also be supplied. All rooms are ensuite with power shower. Each room has Cable/Satellite TV, with 22 stations including CNN and Sky Sports. All rooms include:

We also have a hydrotherapy unit and infrared sauna in our health and relaxation chalet use of which is included in your stay.

Other facilities include 2 Large flood-lit private secure car parks, Secluded Picturesque Gardens, Lounge / Reading Room and a Conservatory style Dining Room in which a very substantial Four Course Irish Breakfast is served from 6.30a.m. to 9.00a.m. on weekdays and from 8.00a.m. to 10.00a.m. at weekends.

Flexible times available on request. Breakfast costs vary depending on menu selected. Vegetarian, coeliac, diabetic, low fat and low carbohydrate diets catered for. Any other dietary requirements given full consideration. Please advise of any special dietary needs, at time of booking. Tipperary Spring Water (Still and Sparkling) available free of charge.

Directions

Brookville Guest House is located in Blackrock, South Dublin, a beautiful part of Dublin with a direct bus route into Dublin city. A few minutes away is Dun Laoghaire ferry port and Blackrock Dart Station (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) making the city very accessible. The village of Blackrock gets its name from the black rock that lies offshore and once marked the city limits. It is a typical village offering golf facilities, sailing clubs, chic shops and cafés as well as traditional Irish pubs. Locally we have a wide selection of top class Restaurants and Bars within walking distance. The Sat. Nav. co-ordinates for Brookville House are N53 17.163' and W 006 10.75. We are located in Brookville Park, right at the entrance to Springhill Avenue just off the Deansgrange Road in Blackrock. By Road

Drive out of the Airport Complex and travel Southbound towards Dublin City. After two km. take an Exit to the left onto the M50 and go Southbound. Leave the M50 at Exit 14 (N31). Go straight through the first roundabout (sign-posted - the N31) and take the third Exit (sign-posted the N11) at the next roundabout. You will come to a dual-carriageway (the N11), drive straight through the N11 into Newtownpark Ave. At the bottom of Newtownpark Ave. turn right at a 'T' junction. Travel about 1000m and you will see 'Springhill Ave.' on a road-sign on a wall, on the right-hand side of the road. You are now on the Deansgrange Road.Turn right and IMMEDIATELY right again and you are at Brookville House. You will see our B&B signs. Brookville House is a large cream coloured building with lots of trees and ivy.

To Brookville via the N4 / M4
Travel on the N4, then the M4 until you come to the M50, go Southbound until you come to Exit 14 (sign-posted - the N31 and Dun Laoghaire).
You will immediately come to a small roundabout, through which you will go straight. About 200 m. further on, you come to a big roundabout and you will go straight through this, (as this roundabout has five roads into it, it is the third exit and is sign-posted, the N11), onto the Leopardstown Road.
When you come to a dual-carriageway, (which is the N11), you go straight through the traffic-lights into Newtownpark Avenue, until you come to a 'T' junction, at which you turn right. You are now on the Deansgrange Road.

Drive for about 1000m and you will see a Green on the left and a Green on the right (Brookville House is at the other side of the Green on the right). You can see the Guesthouse from the Deansgrange Road. Springhill Avenue/Park is sign-posted on the wall in front of you on the right.

Turn in right and IMMEDIATELY right again and it is the first Entrance on the left. There are two B&B signs, with a cream wall and lots of trees and ivy. There is also a green post-box on the grass verge outside our Entrance.
If you go too far you will see the new Nissan garage showrooms on your left and Deansgrange cemetery on the right. Just double back in the direction you have just come about 80m and take the first turn left, then immediately right and we are the first entrance on the left.

By Train
From Connolly Station, take the D.A.R.T. (electric train) to Dun Laoghaire, then outside the station, take bus number 46A. After 10minutes or so, get off at a green shop called 'Quick Pick' just before a roundabout. The bus will turn left, but you walk straight through this roundabout and down the hill for four minutes and you will see Brookville House across the road and across the green. There are two B&B signs; cream walls ; lots of trees and ivy.
By Bus
From Dublin City Centre:
At O'Connell Bridge, take bus number 4A, which will travel out in a bus-corridor, and drop you opposite the Entrance to Brookville House in 20-25 mins. If you get off at the terminus, (when the bus turns left off the Deansgrange Road) and look behind you, across the road and across the green, you will see our B&B signs. Brookville is a large cream building with lots of trees and ivy. There is a green post-box on the grass verge right outside our gate.
By Plane
From Dublin Airport:
TAXI: A taxi is the easiest way from the Airport but can cost up to 50.00 Euro. Just tell the taxi-man to go to Brookville Guest House at the entrance to Springhill Avenue on the Deansgrange Road in Blackrock.
BUS: The 746 Bus leaves every hour from Arrivals and goes to within a few minutes walk of Brookville House. This is a cheapest way to get to Brookville House, as it only costs 1.90 Euro. However, we would warn, it does take a lot longer than by taxi, as it goes through the City and stops many times on the way. The bus will turn off the dual carriageway at Foxrock Church into Kill Lane. It will go straight through a set of traffic lights at The Grange Pub, then up a hill and turn left into Abbey Road, at Bakers Corner Pub. Get off at the third and last bus stop, named 'T.K.Roundabout', walk in the same direction as the bus is travelling for a few metres, then take the first exit, sharp left, down the hill and walk for four minutes, where you will see Brookville Guest House across the road at the entrance to Springhill Avenue. There are plenty of trees and ivy, cream walls and two B&B Signs.
