Floersheim nowadays part of Greater Frankfurt, is still surrounded by gentle hills covered by vineyards, foot and cycle paths. The waterfront invites strollers to sit down and watch the passing boats on their way up the river to the big ports of Frankfurt or down to the old roman city of Mainz with its impressive romanesque cathedral.


Enjoy WINE TASTING in our Rheingau region: you can drink home made products on a little winemaker's farm after half an hour bike trip around the hostel. You can get quite a good wine for very little money, accompanied by hearty basic food like sausage or cheese.

Late arrival must be noticed before arrival;

Directions

Wanderlust Hostel is in Jahnstr. 15 in FLOERSHEIM (suburb of Mainz). IT IS NOT in Jahnstrasse in Mainz

Just steps away from bus depot and subway station Floersheim , from where frequently running S1 line takes you directly to the nearby busy cities Frankfurt (25min), Wiesbaden (20min) and Mainz-Kastel (10min).

Frankfurt Airport is only 30min away: by any subway to the cetral station of Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof/ HbF and than change to the subway line S1 direction Wiesbaden, get off at the station Floersheim.

Frankfurt Hahn Airport connection: by Airport bus to the cetral station of Mainz Hauptbahnhof/ HbF.

From Mainz Hauptbahnhof:
Take the train line S-Bahn S8 direction Wiesbaden. Get off at the station Wiesbaden Ost. Then take the S-Bahn S1 direction Roedermark or Offenbach. Get off at the station Floersheim.

In Floersheim:
Our Hostel is 5 minutes away from the train station.
Coming from Frankfurt: Leave the station on this side of the railway track.
Coming from Mainz/ Wiesbaden: Cross the railway track, using a lift or a staircase.

Follow the road to the left (parallel with the tracks). When you reach the crossroad with the street Wickererstrasse turn left. Just before the road intersect the track turn right.
