Cipi Hostel

Cipi Hostel is located in Ataco (Concepcion de Ataco), which in
the native (indigenous) language, Nahuat means 'a place in the high springs.'

Ataco sits at 4000 feet above sea level in a mountainous region in Ahuachapan state.
The town’s personal characteristic are cobblestones streets, pleasant climate and also colorful murals.

Although, the hostel is new in El Salvador, the owner’s broad vision based on their travelling experience (over 80 countries, 5 continents) is to provide a clean, friendly, safe, vibrant, relaxing, social environment where guests are able to choose what atmosphere to live every day of the week. Guests can either stay in dorm rooms or private ensuite facilities.


As Cipi hostel is located in the historic part of town, two blocks from central park, our guests can certainly use Cipi as a base to go horseback riding nearby, waterfall rappel, canopy, visit coffee farm plantations, trekking on forested mountain ranges, visit the “green lagoon” or just relax in a hammock at our garden or just hang out in the diverse social areas.

You´ll have to pay Taxes on your remaining balance account (13%)

Please be sure of your time of arrival because we will only hold your bed 2 hrs after your set time of arrival, unless we receive a call that guarantees us that you will be late. Otherwise, we might be obligated to give up your space if another guest shows up.

Take bus 249 from Sonsonate ($1) or Ahuachapan ($0.45), which is less than 15 mins. away. A supermarket and an ATM are found in Ahuachapan.

From Guatemala city-ATACO is approximately 2 and a half hours. The crossing border is Las Chinamas.
